Session Dates
Saturday training
2026/2027
We provide structured junior badminton coaching at Lightwater Leisure Centre every Saturday morning, with six ability-based groups ranging from Beginners to Advanced. Players are placed in the group best suited to their age, experience, and development level.
Our groups are organised across three session times:
• Beginners & Improvers: 8:30am – 10:00am
• Junior & Intermediate: 10:00am – 11:30am
• Emerging & Advanced: 11:30am – 1:00pm
These session times apply throughout most of the year. Occasionally, timings may be adjusted to accommodate tournaments, special events, or our summer sessions during June, July, and August.

An additional Wednesday development session, 4:30pm-6:00pm is available for selected players.

Volunteer!
We’re always looking for more volunteers – if you’d like to contribute to the club and give a little back, we have plenty of voluntary roles:
- Team Manager – be responsible for a match team, ensuring your team always has players available for matches.
- Duty Manager – take the register during Saturday training sessions and help members and guardians with any general queries they have on the day.
- Coach – assist with coaching our members during training sessions. We can also help you obtain your Badminton England coaching qualifications!
- Committee Member – help with the behind-the-scenes running of the club, from writing the newsletter to welcoming new members.

All kit must be ordered via the online order form.
Shirts, Shorts, and Skorts
These are issued during training sessions when available. If an item or size is out of stock, there may be a delay—this will be confirmed by email. Limited sample sizes are available to try at training—ask the Duty Manager for help choosing the correct size.
Hooded Sweatshirts
Hoodies are personalised with a name (first or surname) and are ordered twice a year—in October and February. They must be pre-ordered using the online form. Please note: hoodies are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
